Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Omenote iOS application ("Omenote", "the app"), made by an independent solo developer ("we", "us"). By using Omenote you agree to them.
1. What Omenote is — and isn't
Omenote presents a daily message for reflection and personal contemplation. Its content includes two kinds of messages: original editorial writing, and short quotations attributed to the people who wrote or said them.
No message in Omenote is a prediction, professional advice, or a substitute for professional guidance of any kind — medical, psychological, legal, financial, or otherwise. Omenote does not predict the future. Treat its content as inspiration, not instruction.
2. Content and intellectual property
Original Omenote messages, the app's design, and its branding are our property. Quoted material remains the work of its respective author and is presented with attribution for reflection and commentary. You may share individual messages using the app's share feature; you may not extract, scrape, or republish the catalog as a whole.
3. Omenote Plus subscription
- Omenote Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription: $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year (prices may vary by region and are shown in the App Store at purchase).
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
- The daily Omenote message is free and stays free, with or without Plus.
4. Your journal
Reflections you write in Omenote are yours. They are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy), and we claim no rights over them.
5. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app, and don't use its content to violate any law or anyone's rights.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Omenote is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any message will be right for your situation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Omenote. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it applies in addition to these terms.
